Very cool thread! It will take me awhile to go all the way through it. I saw a two pence in AU55 and they stated that the edges were usually dinged up from being dropped. There are some on there that made my medallion look dinky, there was one that was 360 grams I think!
Thanks for the links Jim!! I looked but came up empty, not sure if it's damage or and error or possibly a counterstamp. The reason I'm still questioning damage is an A or an I could be backwards and we still would not know and there is a letter to the far east that looks to be a backwards L. I had never given it any thought before TPring brought it up and then Ed was questioning it. The coin is no longer in my possesion though, it went to another LCF member that collects foreign cents and they may bring it up at some point.
Ah but the C is not backwards... Still cool no matter what!!!
