20190625_042651.jpg20190625_122129.jpg hi everyone I hope you're having a great day I was wondering if somebody can give me a little information on why this quarter seems to not have a rim but the obverse looks normal thank you

Do you see the clad layers on the rim like a normal quarter?
It might be a quarter struck on a nickel planchet, it would not have the clad showing on the rim and might have partial reeding.

You need to check the weight on it.
If the weight is around 5.67 grams and it has clad layers then it's normal.

If it has no clad layer and around 5 grams then it's struck on a nickel planchet.
Would be neat, it looks high grade.
If struck on a dime planchet then it would have clad layers but be only 2.5 grams but it does not look that small.

Other than that it might be a shaved of quarter, you would see clad layers but weight would be a bit low but..
Without jumping the gun, it sorta looks like it might be a quarter on a nickel planchet!
Hope it has no clad and 5 grams. Weigh that sucker ASAP!

Sounds like that rules out a nickel planchet. What do the rims look like, is it clad?
If you can show the rim that might help.
Also see if the diameter is normal for a quarter.
I guess we're either left with someone shaved the rim or for some odd reason it was undersize or missing a layer or you never know if there could be some similar non US coin made at the mint at that time that a planchet could come from.

I can see just a touch of the coins edges and to me it looks as if the edge was machined or ground down to give the appearance of the rims being closer to the devices than they actually are... What I can see appears to be rounded instead of straight edges... I also do not see any signs of the reeding... There also appears to be marks at ERTY and ES OF A that look like the coin was held with a tool??? If you could get some good pics of the edges that may help???
