    1908 Indian Head Cent Issue

Is there a resource/reference where I can find documented evidence of this issue? Sorry the pictures are so small.

It looks like an improper alloy mix but I'm not familiar enough with IHC to know if this is common or documented. Still googling around for some info!

I'm not seeing a "S" MM on yours, but here is an article about the 1908S IHC with a woodgrain appearance (no pic of it though).

and here's a link to a pic of a 1908S, but it only has the woody on the reverse. (3rd cent from the bottom of the page)

Very nice IHC you have there, it looks great!

Viv, I owe you an apology. I probably shouldn't have posted it here, it's not a Lincoln Cent. Sorry, don't know what I was thinking. Thank you anyway, great info!

It's okay TJ! Jim can move your thread to Off Topic Discussion - no worries!

Oh... and you are welcome! We love seeing IHC's, thank you for posting it!

Added: Another thing I noticed is the woodgrain in yours is very dark, looks almost black! Very cool looking! The IHC in the link above is dark, but doesn't look quite as dark as yours.

I don't know much about them, but I love IHC's.
