My neurological Basilar migraines have been getting worse. I get them every single morning. Now they are making me lose my balance for the day. After I have them my vision gets better, but I am off balance and clumsy mostly for the rest of the day. My doctor has now increased my medication. We will see what that does. I can only hope that it helps.

yes it is hard. It has become debilitating and most ways now. It is now affecting how I can clean the house. But, I am managing. I absolutely have to with two kids. I don’t have much of a choice. I just hang onto things to keep my balance. And my daughter helps sometimes. Only when she is in a good mood though LOL. But, life has to go on. Somehow, we will get this thing managed I hope.Comment

That sounds not so good... I hope you get things squared away... I have back problems and get to see the floors and ground in new ways from time to timeRemember - It's not the fall that hurts but the sudden stop at the end

LOL, but Kinda not funny at the same time and I get it because I’ve been there a few times myself. It is the landing itself. You are right the floors and ground give you a whole different view of things around you also. LOLComment

So sorry you are having more migraines Sheila and hope that the increase in meds will decrease the times and duration that you have them. We don't want you to fall and get hurt even though through many stories we have learned that you are a pretty tough gal! I was doing some google research on these kinds of headaches and the symptoms/treatments... is this what you are having? https://www.healthline.com/health/basilar-migraineComment

I am just getting over an EXTREMELY SEVERE episode. I couldn’t even crawl without falling over. My husband is here with me and has been helping me for the past four hours. I was on the verge of going to the emergency room. I am finally better now. I still can’t see well enough to do coins though. My muscles in the back of my knees are getting weak now. I managed to see well enough to respond to a post earlier. Holding very still helps a lot. My vision is still extremely crazy though.Comment

Have you got an MRI or CT scan?
Sounds like you should, if there's something big that will show it.
When my little daughter was sick, I googled about symptoms and thought she had pressure in her brain. I asked the regular doctors and they said she looks too good for anything to be wrong and said only an MRI would show it but only a neurosurgeon would get one done. I had to bug then to refer her and the neurosurgeons have big backlogs around 3 months. I had to bother them to see her faster. By luck they did and she was getting surgery the next day.
MRI is fast, it sounds like you need one to see if there's something there.Comment

I had a CAT scan a couple years ago and it showed nothing. But, I have not had an MRI. I also had a an EEG. It also showed nothing. I am going to ask my neurologist about that. She is positive that I am having Basilar migraines though. I think she is thinking about it though.Comment
