    Be out for a while

I will check in now that I have been searching again, But need thoughts and prayers Friday Nov 8. I am having 5 vertebra in my neck fused. I won't be looking down much for a while. Thanks to all my friends here for the support over the years. Anthony

The very best to you and hope for a speedy recovery. I have had 3 spinal fusions and a metal plate put in my neck over the years. The procedures are so much better now and the surgeons are amazing. Good luck and check in when you can.

It sounds like quite a procedure but Bob's comments on current methods and outcomes is good news.
              Check in when you can.

ps. That gives you 7 days to get your viewing station up to eye level so you don't have to bend your neck while recovering, but still search. Add a conveyor belt with a modified sewing machine foot pedal for forward or reverse and you'll be good to go!

I thought I responded to this yesterday but I must have not tapped the reply button. Best of luck with your surgery from a guy who has had his cervical spine fused by arthritis for the past 10-15 years. Keep us posted on your condition. George

Thanks to all, I am anxious, but all will go well, God has thrown me back 7 times now. I must be here for a reason. Another little known fact I keep low keyed about, is I celebrated 10 years of sobriety last night with my AA friends.

CONGRATULATIONS on 10 years of sobriety! That's a big accomplishment. I'm sending thoughts, good wishes and prayers your way. I don't think we have interacted on here much (if any), but I hope we will in the future. Best wishes to you!

I agree wholeheartedly with Rowdy. Congratulations on 10 years.

I have had many family members try to quit and I'm not sure if any have been successful to the extent you have.
Any attempt to go to complete sobriety by those suffering from alcoholism deserves strong praise and encouragement (for those that can't be "social" drinkers.)
