A strange customer penny roll. No pennies, 56 dimes.

I love searching customer penny rolls around Christmas time. People often cash in their change jars this time of year for extra money. I was lucky enough to score over 1000 rolls in December and I’m still having fun searching them. I have already found over three hundred wheat pennies but this roll is probably the strangest find this year, a solid roll of dimes in a penny wrapper. The total count was 56.

Cool... 50 cents to get $5.60... At that rate of return you will be rich in a short period of time

My wife said if I would cash in the 800,000 copper pennies I have she would be happy to spend it!

Usually it's the other way, 50 cents in a dime wrapper!

Look at this from the banks stand point. How do you account for the extra $5.10 in your cash drawer?

To the bank it would be $.50 in and $.50 out -- no gain or loss.

I imagine only the customer lost.
