    I really like the overdates, they are cool varieties! This and your Russian coin, in the other thread, are both in nice condition too.

      This one is really neat. The coin was originally a 1728 Kopeck with a cross design on the obverse like this one:


      Then it was re-struck as a 1731 with Double Headed Eagle design. The reverse die was originally a 1730 kopeck but was re-engraved to 1731.

        Ahhhh. I was not paying attention to the title "Struck Over". That is really cool! So a shortage of dies at the time?

          Cool... Doesn't look like they attempted to remove the older version with any care!!!
