I usually use tooth picks, q-tips, and distilled water preserving coins. Now rose thorns was brought up from time to time and actually will have something much better available. It dawned upon me that something stronger than tooth picks and sharp as rose thorns. I will be going in woods to get a bunch of thorns from Thorn trees. These are ideal as length is longer than tooth picks and easier to pick gunk with. If anyone wants some let me know. I will give a dozen each to anyone interested when I get them. The reason I am willing to do this for the community is because I don't know exactly what type of trees are in areas of members. And also know the pain of getting gunk out of the mint marks and other areas. I have a of of them buggers around here. Ran into them enough while in woods OUCH is all I can say!!!! Even though some probably have me on block or what not I will help those too if interested. God Bless and thanks for reading...

Thorns can be a good tool, but proper usage is key here. The greener the thorns, the better. Do not use old and hardened thorns and use thorns sparingly. They will damage your coins is you are not careful.Bob Piazza

So if I sent some to people the thorns won't be any good by time they get them? I am just trying to figure out other ways to carefully pick out gunk or vedigres. It seems tooth picks fall apart inside of mint marks and is quite annoying issue for me. Was just trying to figure out something harder but yet flexible at same time. So green thorns it is then but keeping them flexible I will ponder on that. I'll think of an ingredient to keep thorns fresh.Life is not about greatness but on the impact of good onto others. It is a matter of how much one shines. Explains why I like shiny coins.Comment
