The mint uses an ultrasonic cleaner before striking the special coins that are sold... Maybe an ultrasonic jewelry cleaner using verdicare instead of plain water would work!!!

This really answered my question which is a real simple answer. I guess I did not put much thought in it when I asked or I did not even think about them not getting dirt as they ar au and uncirculated. Altho at show alot of the key coins were circulated and the did not have grime on them.Comment

Just be aware of the consequences of your actions. There's really nothing wrong with a little grime on a coin. To us experienced guys it shows the originality of the surfaces. I throw up a lot of red flags when I see an old, circulated coin perfectly free of gunk. Tons and tons of dealers/sellers use crap like the mineral oil Coin Care on ALL of their coins. When I spot that I run!
If unsure, it's ALWAYS best to leave a coin alone! Conservation is for coins that really need it, not for every coin you own and should be only used when absolutely necessary.VERDI-CARE™ ALL METAL CONSERVATION FLUIDComment
