    1953 D Finned Rim Example?

The edges are razor sharp on the obverse and reverse raised only a little. Thoughts?

Pics should be there now... these darn attachments are really quirky for me - always have to open IE (and I HATE IE) lol

Looks well struck, but normal to me.

The lighter color on the obverse is probably a difference of stock copper material. It is like a lamination, but just a different color and not separating..

The edge of BU coins are like that. A proof coin is even stronger because more pressure and double striking raise the rims up even higher.

LOL! I'm probably just so used to going through and seeing ultra worn circulated that a sharp rim is odd to me

You will know it when you find it. It will leap right out at you. Most of the time we look too hard to find something that isn't there. When you do find it, you will know it. Take my word for it.
