    1959-D date with die chips?

Hi all! I am wanting to know if the date on this coin has a few die chips in it? I believe so, but the date just looks strange. No biggie, just wanted an answer. Also, could this be a 5 over 5 variety? Thanks, here are pics!

Hmm, could be a small chip in the nine. There's no such thing as a 5 over 5 variety. It looks to me like a hit displaced part of the top of the 5 and pushed it down.

I was on lincolncentresource.com looking at the controversial coins and saw #10 which indicated what may have been a 5 over 5 variety. I thought this showed what could be an example.

If you read the entire article, it explains how a 5 over 5 would be impossible

Looks like displaced metal from damage... The entire date took a fairly good hit... IMHO yours is not the controversial 5 over 5... Would have been cool tho!!!
