Has anyone seen this on a coin before? It is a 1987 D Lincoln penny. It is cracked on both sides of the coin. Is this considered an error Thanks.

I can't really see what you're referring to as "cracked".
Are you talking about some split plating on both sides? -
As Petespockets55 said, there is split plating on the obverse and reverse. On top of that it looks like there is a ridge ring on the reverse. This coin came from worn out dies and needs put back to work, it will do you no good. Take it out of whatever you have it in and return it to the wild, unless it means something to you.
