You actually put it succinctly! Thank you! I'm glad I could share something!

Now, if only I could find a 1982D large date zinc... Or 1973S... Seriously. These 2 coins I simply cannot find. Oh well, the 14D will enable me to sell my ANACS VG-8 version and I guess I could buy a few hundred of each!

Your very welcome, I am usually to the point. Also, welcome to LCR. This is without a doubt THE best place for Lincoln cents, kinsmanship, learning and knowledge.

From what I've read - I agree. I've checked in sporadically, but I've had nothing interesting at all to report during roll searching for about a year and a half. Especially with the low odds of finding any of the Lincoln varieties in CAN rolls. Lately, I've devoted more attention to the silver sites.

But this $25 box has certainly re-invigorated me into the land of lincoln!

          Tom,

To add another note about the King George V's: I've actually found two 1932's, and a 1931 in rolls (as well as a 1933 in the floorboards of my 125-yr old home). And it seems US collectors find as many (or more) in the US as we do in CAN.

Someday, if you keep at it, you'll find them. I'm not sure I'll ever get an IHC tho...!

But in this case, my 'special' pile (wheats and KG) quickly became the biggest one and forced a little more gyrating!
You must be young and agile 2cents, the exercise you describe would kill my aching back. I find it hard enough to peek through my scope for hours at an end at the table. Anyway, welcome and enjoy. Post some pics.

I can't do the table and scope thing until I've pulled the good ones and am ready to do that pile. And I don't usually bother with every date search as I go, but when the really worn ones started appearing left and right, I couldn't wait to check them later!

I'm not sure what pics you're looking to see??

Yes, it does! I went back and read about it last night.

As you know, it's a bizarre, surreal feeling when you crack a roll hoping to see 1 wheatie, then a whole roll of them falls out!

Nope. I have a slabbed VG-8 that I bought because I don't trust the authenticity of an unslabbed. But when you pull one yourself, that issue is taken care of. (it and the slabbed one match in looks, BTW. everything rings 'true'.)

So straight into the Dansco hole it goes. And the slabbed VG-8 goes up for sale! (the VG-8 is a slightly better coin, don't get me wrong, but I can't justify keeping both. The one I found - I'd say a G-6 - is never leaving...)
