If Wal-Mart costs $3 to get bad scans of the coins, I'd suggest you buy yourself a digital camera. I see no motive for the Mint changing compositions to fiberglass or something else back in 1992 either, as the price of making pennies back then was still quite profitable. Don't equate today's high cost to make a penny to the cost of almost 20 years ago, only a decade after switching to their current composition.Wendell Carper
