I've had a 1934 wrapped in old newspaper as a toning test for the past 3 years... wonder what it looks like now. Haven't opened it in as long either
It probably turned black. That is what happens when you but coins into an envelope.

Here's the reverse of a 1955-S that was the end coin of an OBW roll. The roll was stored in a safe for 50 years or so and had minimal airflow, etc. I personally love naturally blue and green toned copper, but throw some pinks and oranges in there and the color combos can become even more interesting! ...Ray
