What can we do for LCR/Coppercoins

I took a step back and watched for sometime to see what the future may hold for these two ventures ; Coppercoins and LCR and I can say with brutal honesty that I do not know but I do care. They both hold so much so much promise for the future.
Maybe Chuck D can speak with a great deal more authority on Coppercoins but for LCR there is so much possibility ahead and Brad could speak for the latter. The question I would like to know is where are we headed for the next year,2 years, 5 years from now and how can the members help in getting us to our destination. What is needed to reach our first goal? I would like to hear more on this. I am ready to help in whatever way I possibly can. THE BEST IS YET TO COME. Stay tuned.

Very good point Lucien I don't post very much but I do check the forum out every day, I would do my share to help keep either one alive and well. It's the best there is to offer for Lincoln cents.

Personally, for coppercoins.com, I hope Chuck decides to give kickstarter a try. I think enough cash could be raised to make a killer website with perks for those that contribute to the kickstart campaign.

I personally don't believe coppercoins is going anywhere. We do indeed have some coding problems but it will be worked through sooner or later.
As far as where coppercoins or LCR will be in 2-5 years....I think that is never going to be an easy answer. I don't think Chuck or Brad envisioned their sites being where they are today. We do have goals, and the one for coppercoins is having the new site up and running as well as the certification service doing well. For LCR, we have progressively grown much larger than I had expected anyway. I see continued growth. With that growth, I see the occasional set-back or headache. In the long run, if you are passionate about your site and your goals, progress will usually follow.

Well said Bob. If I had a dollar for everytime I used LCR or coppercoins to check on a coin, I would have alot of dollar bills!
            Thankyou

Is it a question of $ required for speedier implementation of plans or a question of logistics? I saw that $ was the drawback for coppercoins for updating their system. I can understand that the rate of growth was unexpected and that leaves us with the difficult question of what the next few years will be like. I am grateful for the comments.

What exactly are you anticipating in the coming years Lucien? I don't exactly understand. Other than the major technical glitches that Chuck is encountering, did I miss something?

My main question originally was what was planned for the next few years Chris now that it is known that there was unexpected growth.

Couldn't resist. I think he means that along with our growth, should we be looking for improvements or setting goals for certain extra features to be added, or something like that, although I must say I feel the forum is just fine in its current state, in the technical and user-friendly sense.

Thanks for the clarification Casey, but I still don't quite get it- what kind of goals? Each of us take a novice under our wings and show them how LCR works? Or are all of us as members supposed to be doing something we're not? I'm just not comprehending what "we" could do.

I think any changes made would be up to Brad as it's his forum. Am I just being dense here?

Actually, I think that is the answer. Not trying to be funny, but I think you are very much overanalyzing the nature of the question.

Those were my thoughts exactly.....the statement about "growth and goals" sounds like it was taken from the play book of my old company or a managers handbook.
