Ok, I see that your 72' D has a clash mark of the nine but yours is offset from mine. Yours is more into the memorial building and looking at Stevens Memorial Overlay picture I would say that yours has a minor misaligned die strike. I also don't see the clash marks from Lincolns coat so different dies but similar results.
Isn't this fun!
One thing that I found interesting is that there is no die polish lines. I figured there would be to get rid of the clash marks. I guess these could be the only details transferred from the clash and I just happened to find a coin before the mint worker did the filing. You know like a "First Clash Strike". Since people throw out stupid names I figured I would do one. That's enough of that.

I really like the clashed dies that make me think 'where the heck did this come from?.
Same goes for the dropped letters.
