Great advice Bad Thad. You just have to get it done. One completed you will be ready to upgrade. I have seen sets bringing in great returns when coins are in good condition.
For some of the early P-mints, you can get really nice looking MS coins for cheap. I recently bought a blus toned MS63 1923P for $20. Its a really cool looking coin. Nice start on your set, BTW.
YN with a Lincoln Obsession! Check out my eCrater site Yes, the boxes in my avatar are all full. No, I'm not finished searching them yet.
I just want to say a quick "thank you" to a few individuals who contacted me and offered to send me some hole-fillers free of charge. The generosity of this forum is amazing. Here is a current list of the coins I am missing in my collection that I will edit whenever I get some new coins. (note: I am not asking for people to offer me coins. The list is purely informational.)
Nice Simon. Like jason, I've neglected my Lincoln set for a while. I've put a couple of sets together over the years, but never being able to complete them...always missing the 3 big ones. My favorite set is XF, and since I tend to grade low, I lot of my coins were probably AU.
Good luck

Yeah, you'd think that I would have plenty. But the fact is that the S mints from the 50s and 40s have been in circulation so long that they disperse. I really rarely find any S wheats in circulation...it is mostly Denver.

S's are rare anywhere, with the 55S being the rarest of the 40-55 dates (unless you count 43S, but any steel cent is rare). It took me 400,000 cents or so to find my first 1955S.

Nice start Simonm. That die crack on the reverse of the 1922-D reminds me of the one on the so-called No D die#1. The die crack is from the L of PLURIBUS to the O of ONE. See here http://www.lincolncentresource.com/1...varieties.html. Of course, your coin definitely shows the D, but that familiar die crack would have got my heart pounding.
Wendell Carper It's a bird! It's a plane! Aw nuts... It's merely two die scratches!

Thank you to those who sent me wheats to help me along with my set. I've knocked off a lot of dates on the list, it's a great feeling to check another coin off!
