It's best to only use a link to wherever it is.

Crooks are among the most likely to cry foul and the way legal stuff works, they may get away with it. Like a burglar suing when they trip in the garden of the house they're robbing.

The problem is that the link will be no good tomorrow morning by 9AM. I can put them on my website and link to that on here. I wouldn't want to cause any trouble to the fine people running this here.

Can someone please tell me how to remove the attachment? It's too attached and I can't get it off!! Or can a moderator remove it please?

I've come across a few counterfeits in circulation from time to time. The weirdest one was a 1943 copper. It was so badly sand casted that it was the worse counterfeit I have ever seen. There is only one counterfeit I actually want to find and that is the Henning nickel. There are a few other years other than the well known 1944. No luck yet but will sooner or later.
Life is not about greatness but on the impact of good onto others. It is a matter of how much one shines. Explains why I like shiny coins.

I am going to build an online catalog of counterfeit coins. I want to have a place for everyone to reference known counterfeits. The primary goal is a database of images.
I bought a name and have a temporary homepage up.
If anyone is interested in helping, please let me know.
I can use all the help I can get.
          Thank You

That would be great! It may be a minute before I can find someone besides my wife to build it.
Anyone can send me pictures, preferably with diagnostics showing how we know it is fake. Text will suffice but highlights on the image would be best. Like circling die markers, overlays etc.
I am open to all suggestions, ideas, opinions or whatever.
              Thanks!

Are you going strictly with Lincoln cents??? The Forgery Network covers coins from across the globe and has only a few Lincolns starting on page 3!!!

To start, I plan on focusing on US coins. I want to be able to find any date of any denomination by having them in order with each having it's own page. That way you can go to 1909 SVDB and see the 8 different versions all in one place. Or you can go to Morgan dollars and see which dates I found images for.

I am looking for a designer now that will do it for a promise of future payment. If I had the cash, I would pay someone, I just don't have it. If I have my wife build it, it could take a LONG time.

If I had something up, I think I could solicit donations pretty easily.

                  At least I got a start. http://counterfeitcoincatalog.com/HOME/

I was hoping this thread would become a database, but it fizzled. 50-post threads about stages of die cracks is where it's at apparently. Lol. I will support your database with examples I have.

It seems there are a bunch of sites that have examples, but it seems like they are hard to pin down when looking for something specific. There isn't any one that has a whole lot of them. NGC has a few, a few here, some there.

It's too bad Frank disappeared and took his pictures with.

I have about 100 images and access to many more.
PCGS uses images from Ebay, when I asked about copyright etc. I was told that as long as it is for educational purposes, it is legal. Sort of like when clips from movies are used on Youtube vids. Youtube is strict about copyrights but those vids. are allowed. So I am just going to use any image I find on the internet.
It will help if I don't have to find and then save them all myself, but I will if I have to. Same with building the site.

Does anyone have a list or table with all the dates of any Us type coins? Before 1950 will be fine.
Like all the wheat dates or Morgans that they can send me?
I want to be able to search a date and see any counterfeits that there are images of.
                                TIA
