look in the glossary under "struck through late stage die cap"

I am leaning to "struck through late stage die cap" even though I have never examined one personally.
There are quite a few who have and they will ring in when they can with their opinion

Judging by the enlarged and essentially cropped RTY, it looks like a mid-late stage counterbrockage. A very nice find.

                Correct, it's a late-stage counterbrockage.

Very nice find!... But I'm new here and obviously missing something. And how do we know it's a 1982? Can you see the date? I can't see it from where I sit. Do you mind if I ask you where you got it? Thanks!

Oh, you got the coin in 82. You can't see a date. That 1982 written on the 2x2 is confusing. Okay, thanks.

It very well could be a 1982. It is Reverse Design Variation #4, which places it between 1974 and 1985. If it is a zincoln, (weight 2.5g) that would narrow the parameters to 1982-1985.

A scale will definitely help... Not just for the Frankenzincs but to tell if a solid cent is over or under weight!!!
