A few things here that are getting more confusing as we go
RDV-007 started in 1993 with a trasitional die used in 1992 creating the 1992 CLAMs
IF there is a 1989 design difference it would be a 1989 reverse of 1988 OR RDV-005
HOWEVER the shape of the top of the G on those questionable coins is that of a 1989 G
Strike it Rich does list 1989 rev 1988 for the P in my PDF copy
but it uses the pics that it uses for the 88 rev 89
I DO NOT WANT TO GIVE CREDIT TO THIS VARIETY AT ALL!
I have examined quite a few"1989 rev 1988", and I have talked to Dr. Wiles at CONECA and he also agrees
Every copy examined has had the top of the G Stop short of the Vertical bar like a 1989 /RDV-006 coin
BUT it also has the Inward line gone( by polishing the die) some show the drop down line below the curve some do not
I have just bought a SEGS 1989 Reverse of 1988 off of EBAY, and it is a polished RDV-006 die
Pics are my old ANACS coin, Reverse of 1988 and Reverse of 1989
on a REV 88 the vertical bar has no line dropping below the curve or line going inward into the G
The Top of the G goes to the end of the edge of the Vertical line
on a REV 89 the vertical bar has a line dropping below the curve and line going inward into the G
The Top of the G dose not go to the end of the edge of the Vertical line
