    What is SL and LL designation???
    The 1858 comes in 2 types, LL large letter and SL small letter.
    Sort of like a wide AM cent, the LL has the AM of America connected at the corners but the SL has a gap.
    Neither is super rare but the LL is worth more than the SL.

    It's sort of the little pad on the base of the letters that touches on the LL and the letter style is slightly different.
    They tend to be weak in that area so with wear they tend to look like SL but on this one I think it's a SL even with weakness in that area.
