    Viv, Cliff, Jim, Jon,
Thanks for all of the awesome examples. I can't even remember the last time I actually searched any cents, so thank you for doing all of this legwork. I'll be sure to thank my consultants.

Got one more for ya. Not as extreme as Derrel's 2018D but the best example I've found so far.

Awesome. Would you all say this is more common in the last few years?

Tough call... if it ends up being grease related that puts a whole new twist on things. Just out of curiosity, I'm going to go back and look at my greasers and Ed System coins tonight. I'm really interested to know what you are finding out, but until you are ready to tell us... I'm just going to look. I wonder if these lines have been going on for a very long time but once a coin is circulated they do not show up as well as they do on the newer Shield cents. Also, it takes just the right lighting to get them to show up in pics unless they are real heavy lines. As much as I do not like my scope's LED's, the LED's make the lines pop!

I don't know that I have seen a single year in the shields that I haven't noticed it to some degree but from 2016 on through, much more common and extreme in my opinion.

Here is a 2003P with the linear bubbles on both sides... There may be a few grooves in Abes hair but I am not sure???
