Got to love buyers. Heres my coin
Got this today. He wasnt upset, just wants a return but check this out...
BUYER: we have a problem. I had this coin looked at by a professional and this simply is NOT a DOUBLE DIE...…..It is just machine chattering that caused the slight doubling. A DOUBLE DIE is just that, the DIE itself was punched twice and so they ALL would look the same. The one shown here is just partial doubling and caused by the machine chattering a regular die. Simply NOT a DOUBLE DIE at all. You say no returns but I will have to. Thoughts? sorry, thank you
Awesome nice guy ,me: It is the doubled die its listed as. Not sure who you showed but they dont know what they are talking about. If that exact coin is sent back without issues or damage. I'll give a refund. No problem. I been doing this for years and Im currently helping real experts with listing varieties. You can match this coin up for yourself on CONECA or Variety Vista. Send it on back. I dont have an issue with it.
BUYER: I went to BELLEVUE RARE COINS......they have 5 stores here in Bellevue Wash...…..I had some serious dealers tell me that. Simply explained that the double dies would all be the SAME as the die itself was stamped twice. Chattering has all kinds of diff degrees...…...not a double die at all. ANYWAY, I will still leave pos feedback, just need to return this since its not going to do the trick. thank you very much.
Me: This is the exact doubled die that its listed as. DDO-008. Just them saying it's not a doubled die proves you should find another store to visit... if you want to send it back, I'll refund you. No problem on my side. Maybe they are trying to compare to another DDO of the same year. There are over 10. It's not the huge Die 1. Its Die 8. If you have a cherrypickers guide, you can match it up to FS-108 on there also. But, yea, not a problem here. Send it on back.
Scary to think an "expert" like that actually works around rare coins
SO... Long story short. AVOID BELLEVUE RARE COINS!!!. Yikes!!!
