    Buyer Beware | Fake Clash

Just wanted to post this picture of a "vise Job" fake clash. I am kinda new to this site and when I found this coin in a roll recently I really thought I had something. Thanks to the experts here after posting the pix they de bunked it as a fake. I was bummed but relieved that I knew the truth.

The damaged rim is a real give away.

The sad thing is someone will most likly buy this fake and find out later it's junk. If they only knew of the Lincoln Cent Resource.

Anyone contact the seller yet. I'm sure he already knows himself it's fake, but we should let him know that the collecting community also knows its a fake and that we are watching him and his unscrupulous dealings.

                  Dear millenniumcoins,

If you get it graded and slabbed by a reputable company as you state it is,
                  I'll buy it.

                  -amadauss

                  And I received this response:

                  Dear amadauss,

Well I am starting it out with you in mind as a investor. I know it is worth more than I am starting it for and it will appraise nicely. Best Wishes.

                  Sincerely

Mike- why didn't you just state the obvious- that it's a manufactured fake and selling such items as the genuine article is illegal and prohibited by eBay.

I did report the item, but without the ability to send text supporting my action, I have little faith that the ebay rep who looks at the report will know to do anything.

Here is another from another forum that was posted. They used a fake die to make the devices raise off the field:

Very nice Coop- I've never heard of a fake die being manufactured solely to produce errors. Imagine what that person could have acheived if they'd used that time constructively!
