You have better eyes than me . Not sure if I see anything but sometimes just that feeling of doubt makes me move on.

Follow-up on previously auctioned 1928-s cent with reverse Chinese copy/duplicate die chip for $4.25
Buyer Feedback on eBay seller 2013usa7778 copy/duplicate (ie fake) 1928-s from buyer r*** (700 buyer feedback) = "no problems-fast service". So that is one more positive feedback for 2013usa7778 whose total feedback is 161 with 100% positive. I wonder how many of those feedbacks are for Chinese copy/duplicate coins?
While the auction was reported to eBay as counterfeit (no response or action from eBay) and reported to seller (with no action), I guess the bottom line is that it is OK to sell copy/duplicate cents on eBay as long as you provide quick shipping.
Chinese copy/duplicate die chip example
If only all the the Chinese copy/duplicate coins had this die chip, it would be less of a problem. But it appears that only older Chinese copy/duplicate cents have this issue. Newer duplicate cent copies for sale, do not have a reverse die chip.Attached FilesComment

Yes Jim, it's like watching train wrecks that you can see in advance.
I think the reasons that fake sellers can get good FBs is:
-The buyers that didn't catch it in the photo won't notice when the get the coin. If it arrives and fits the hole in their folder the give a pos FB.
-If the buyer notices and returns it they might leave a pos FB saying "he stood behind the item" or give no FB.
-If the buyer tries getting it graded or selling it and finds out that it was fake, it's already too late to give FB.
-Many buyers will put the coin in a folder and never grade it, they'll leave it for their kids in 20 years and until someone tries to sell it or grade it then nobody knows it was fake.
There are so many fakes out there, even with that reverse we see them daily on ebay plus many others we won't notice from the photos. It's already damaged the hobby. Sure, knowledgeable collectors can tell but we all started out as newbees and now the new collectors might get turned off. Even if you sell a real coin the prices are reduced by the recorded sales of fakes and many buyers reduce their bids with the assumption that so many are fake they are less eager to bid on anything.
There isn't a real punishment for sellers of fakes. Worst case they get a bad FB or need to give a refund. Imagine if shoplifting or robbing banks was that way. The biggest risk was they might need to give back what they stole, that is not a potent deterrent. If anything it's motivation to sell more fakes because some get returned and selling more makes up for the returns.
Bottom line is, the problem of fakes is here to stay.Comment

Greetings - fyi eBay seller 2011littlebit (2775 feedback with 99.7% positive) who previously listed a 1924-d cent with a reverse die chip marker indicating an old Chinese copy coin has two cents for auction. Neither appear to have the die chip marker but have similar tone and appearance.
Previous 1924-d cent with reverse die chip marker on inside of left wheat above U in UNITED (sold 6/21/15 for $41.06)
Current auctionshttp://www.ebay.com/itm/400938067256?rksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649&ssPageName =STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
1931-s cent (with 12 hours remaining & 6 bids at $38.00)
1914-s cent (with 12 hours remaining & 1 bid at $9.95)
On a side note, I have been in contact with eBay VeRO program for the official US Mint eBay VeRO representative who would be in a position to contact eBay and have an auction cancelled. The eBay VeRO program staff provided an email address of a former US Mint employee whose email box is full and not accepting any new emails. My email to the new US Mint employee who took over the position of the former employee has so far gone unanswered.Comment

Some nice looking 1909-s vdb Chinese copy cents with reverse die chips - seller has cancelled auction but aside from the die chips they look pretty good for copies.

Nice 1909-s vdb Chinese copy cent from eBay seller goldrush99999 at http://www.ebay.com/itm/311459387692...%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
Sell was contacted yesterday. Seller said they would do their own research, etc... but the cent with a nice die chip of the left wheat is still listed & the auction continues. It is actually a pretty sad looking coin but only $1,425.Comment

ebay seller - frans_coins - new eBay seller "trying to sell deceased dad's old coin" - a touching story. Unfortunately all of Dad's coins so far have been Chinese copy/counterfeits. Last sale described below - a 1914-d cent for $185 - with positive feedback of "Excellant Seller, Excellant Communication Fast Shipping AAAAA+++++" buyer was j****k
ebay auction listing
seller has a good supply of 1909-s, 1909-s vdb, 1914-d & 1931-s cents for sale. Also some 1908-s IHC & an 1810 1/2 cent. All recently manufactured in China and fairly nice looking copy/counterfeits.Comment

Yes the 1914-d Chinese copy was sold for $185. eBay seller frans_coins had other copy cents for auction and they were removed, but somehow the 1914-d cent slipped thru and was sold.
No need to fret, I am sure the seller will have some more choice 1909-s, 1914-d & 1931-s Chinese counterfeits for auction shortly. Just giving everybody a heads up.....Comment
