Thank you Jon for this alert. I don't mess with precious metals, usually, unless they are inserted into rolls on occasion.

ps. I did get lucky with silver last weekend. I placed a bid to follow three rolls of uncirculated dimes out of curiosity (I know I can "Watch List" an auction, but got lazy). Well, I won 150 MS Roosevelt dimes (1955 P,D & S) for about $189. I did ok but got real lucky since they sell for about $10-$12 for the set of three and it cost me only $1.26 per coin. (No varieties in the lot though.)

The coinage was how I started with silver and usually what I stick with but occasionally, I will check out slabbed silver eagles in lots from individuals and bars from the larger companies. Nice lick on the MS dimes, that's typical bullion price for a dime in any condition!!

Nice pick up. Even random 90% is trading well above spot price lately. For some reason now there are 2 prices for silver, the spot price is based more on contracts and the physical real in hand silver is trading higher. Amazon is still selling APMEX stuff really high, unc dime rolls over $130 per roll, ouch! LOL.

That is misleading, it's not misleading to call something German silver but to make it like a silver bar and put 999 and 1 oz on it so it looks like a silver art bar like it is a PM is misleading. Similar to those Cook Island gold coins, they picked .24 so it looks like 24K so both things were made as scams, even if the original manufacturer stated semi clearly what they are, they knew that the people buying them were buying because they can sell it as a scam.

Just watching TV, they had an add for Cook Islands 1964 silver dollars. So lame.
71 mg of pure silver. A few cents of plating. Only $20. LOL.. this is the sort of thing that turns off new collectors. They get ripped by not thinking. They ripped people on phony gold now on silver.

National Collector’s Mint is a nationally recognized coin and collectibles company located in Purchase, NY. Founded in 1994, the company has grown from a small two-person operation to a company of more than 50 people. Former U.S. Congressman Barry Goldwater, Jr. and Angela Marie (Bay) Buchanan, the 37th Treasurer of the United States, co-chair our Board of Advisors and serve as spokespeople for our company.
