I'm not sure what to make of this. It appears to be a die clash. I looked at one of Jason's overlays and this would be Lincoln's neck area, but it also appears to be tripled. I don't see any other signs of a clash on the reverse and the obverse appears normal. Any thoughts, comments and opinions are greatly appreciated. Thanks

Thanks BJ and George. "Triple clash from tilted die" sounds like a good description for the flip.Rock

Sorry to bring up old news, but could there be a possibility that instead of this being a triple clash from a tilted die, that it might be part of rotated reverse dime clash, a double denomication error. The only reason I'm asking is I have this on auction as a die clash and someone messaged me suggesting it might be a double denomination error. I'm not even close to being an error expert so thought I'd check it out with you guys.Rock

Sorry. I get senile sometimes.
here is Mike's response
"These are rather strange looking clash marks, but it does appear that you have three staggered clash marks from the area of Lincoln's chin and throat. If the commentor you mentioned is suggesting a mule clash, that's certainly not the case.
Mike"
My return reply
"Thanks Mike for your input. Nobody from the forum suggested a mule clash. It was someone else who happened to have seen the photo and suggested the clash looked like a part of a dime. So instead of dismissing it, I thought I'd check with you. I'm very comfortable with the initial analysis given and will keep it as such.
Thanks again.
