Error Other | Clashed Through Foreign Object?

I came across this one last night. When I looked at the obverse, I first thought it was a clash and then realized it didn't correspond to any design elements. I then flipped it over and saw the exact same thing on the corresponding area of the reverse. My thoughts are that the dies came together while a foreign object was in the chamber. Something hard enough to leave an imprint on the dies. Sound about right? Illuminati? The Russians? I realize this is mostly academic and adds no value, but my mind has to figure out these little anomalies. The area in question is raised. I ended up pulling a few coins from this die pair out of the roll.

Looks like a copper worn to me Jody ...but I'm waiting to hear from one of the error experts.

I like the worm theory, so I'm glad I didn't follow my inclinations and bite into it.

I also posted this on the Errorcoininformationexchange yahoo group, and Mike Diamond said he was familiar with the die pair and that it was indeed a foreign object that was present when the die pairs came together in the absence of a planchet.
