    Error Plating | 2000 d penny error

Here's one I recently just got. I tried to put it in a cardboard penny holder like in the picture, but it wouldn't fit like the regular 2000 D penny. Its a little bigger.

Hello Hogan and welcome! Not many folks around this time of night but I just looked at your photos and I see the coin is not fitting in the holder. Does it look flattened to you? Do you have a scale? It should weigh 2.5 grams. If you don't mind, check back in the morning and someone will help you who is better at error coins than I am.

Hey, I just got my scale today. I weighed the coin and it weighs exactly 2.5 grams.

Hey that's cool! You got some good scales, the first ones I got were off and did not work. Yep, Texas Cent, I have only found one and they are flattened out making the coin larger than normal.
