I apologize for the duplicate image. I have no obverse image but this is a 1943-P Lincoln Wheat Cent with an obvious reverse error. I've tried to get a good image off my phone and figure out how to upload here as well as understand what I'm looking at. I typically use a 3.5 magnifier glasses and then look through an 8x loupe.
Taking advice from collectors I've tried to isolate real possible errors and hoping to record them here and get some advice if I've pegged the error correctly. As stated in my introduction I've not come across anything key or even a well-known variety. For instance I have about 50 x 1955 but no obvious doubling. I have about 10 1969S but no doubling. I don't think I have good enough eyes to see subtle date or mint mark errors but I have come across what I believe to be true doubling of LIBERTY on at least one coin I've looked through. As well as some doubling in certain letters but not all.
I think I have one doubling of "969" but not the one and another where it looks like a small date over a large date but only on the "1" and the "9". I'm hoping to keep isolated possibilities for RPM until I can get a microscope.
My collection is really still a hoard but I've recorded 100 of the best examples I've come across and I even have a 1909-P. Missing key dates, 1914, 1933 as well I haven't seemed to come across a 1954 which I find odd. But I'll keep looking.
I now wear a cotton glove and am very careful whereas in the beginning I was trying hard to only use the rim but wasn't really picky about my palm or the back of my hand. Sometimes I spill a roll of 50 into my sleeve. Other times I spill them onto a cloth meant for cleaning dust off film negatives.
Thank you for any feedback you offer on the coins I will upload for feedback.
