Sat here in New Jersey yesterday watching the snow fall and searching customer rolls. During the search, I found this 1948-S with a Lam on the reverse.

Nice find, Mark!! Looks like the lam got away. If it's not damage, it looks like you have an unlisted spike head too. There is 1 48P, 1 48D and yours would make 1 48S.

Nice find Mark... I see what looks like a lamination peel but that's not all... To me it looks like a struck thru foreign object??? The edges of the area are sharp in appearance other than circ wear... I also do not see any remnant of the NW section from the O in ONE??? There is crumpled metal consistent with a lamination that has been displaced... Here is the info from Error Ref on Struck Through... Notice hoe the edges of struck thrus are sharp in appearance... Hope that helps a bit!!!Jim

Now you guys have my head spinning!! It does look like it may be a struck through. I took a closeup of Lincoln's head and the spike does not appear. I guess it was caused by the lighting in the first picture.
