is this a small date? the 9 looks right to me and the 0 looks like it would be level with the 7 if the 0 didn't take a hit. It is difficult to tell the strength of liberty due to the circulation. thanks for the help!

Sorry I have to agree that is a large date. The 7 is nowhere near the same level as the 9 and the tail of the 7 is far below the 0.Comment

It really isn't a matter of opinion and agreeing. It's either a large date or a small date. There is no "in-between". If the zero is higher than the 7, it's a large date. If the bottom of the 7 drops below the bottom of the zero, it's a large date. This coin clearly matches both of those criteria. Wear or damage in other areas forces one to make decisions based on other criteria, which is why it is important to know all the PUPs (about a half dozen of them) for making the determination as to which design the coin is.Charles D.
