I have requested permission to use an image from Copper Coins... I shall update ya'll a little later... In the interim if you would look closely at CCs 001 http://www.coppercoins.com/lincoln/d...&die_state=mds and VVs 001 Stage G http://varietyvista.com/02a%20LC%20R...958DRPM001.htm maybe you will find a marker... More to come!!!Jim

With permission from Copper Coins and Bob I have created an overlay that shows a remarkable match... I looked over both CC and VV and the closest I could come was 001... There are cracks that begin showing on CCs EDS sample http://www.coppercoins.com/lincoln/d...&die_state=eds on the shoulder and on VVs http://varietyvista.com/02a%20LC%20R...958DRPM001.htm shoulder and head starting in Stage B... If yours have these cracks and the subsequent cracks that developed then it would be a CC LDS - VV Stage H or much later... If yours do not exhibit these cracks then yours is most likely a new listing... I used the MM location and the split serifs location and angle as an indicator of a match since yours does not exhibit any signs of the 3rd MM... Doing a side by side comparison of CCs EDS/MDS http://www.coppercoins.com/lincoln/d...&die_state=eds http://www.coppercoins.com/lincoln/d...&die_state=mds you will notice the 3rd MM is getting weaker... Compare CC with VVs Stages A thru H http://varietyvista.com/02a%20LC%20R...958DRPM001.htm you will notice how weak the 3rd MM gets... I hope I explained this good... Now we need to know if the cracks are there or if it is a new listing!!!Jim

That is it... The 001 is the only one that matched in MM location and split serifs... The only difference I could notice was in die wear!!!Jim
