I've had this one soaking for weeks and is still in less than great condition. Just want some input on what you think this is. Plating issues or a new DDO?
It's a pity that the corrosion is right where the anomaly is. Is there any other areas that show that type of 'doubling?' My first guess would be plating issues.

No sir, none that is really notable, maybe some very slight thickness. The corrosion was what led me to believe it may just be plating also, it just looked so convincing at first.
Well Jon, that's a bummer and a weird one at the same time. You know we've been seeing what looked like minor doubling in that very spot on many 2017P's when there was nothing else really notable but this does look like it could be notching and distortion. We'll see what Bob says when he comes back.

Reason: fixed it
Very interesting... Are we sure that is not Wexlers 006??? http://doubleddie.com/2318537.html The west arm of the Y looks real thick, the Ts horizontal bar is thicker on the west side vs the east, the upper horizontal is thinned and has the same shape as Wexlers sample (just no hit) there also appears to be some notching on the SE corners of the Es lower horizontal as well as the RTY unless of course my brain just fried which is highly possible

Thanks Viv and Jim. I'll get some different pics. I was so invested in the "TRUST" area it didn't spend a lot of time on the rest of the obverse, just kind of skimmed across it.
I'm not sure Jim. After looking, there are several with the same attribute in "ERTY" but I'm having a hard time finding markers for any of them. I think I might be putting too much time in a coin that may be eat up with zinc rot in a short time anyway. Thank you guys for the help!

I'm not sure either and like you said the zinc rot has already taken hold on TRUST!!!

Jon and Jim, last night I ran across a 2017P that looked similar. Everything looked pretty normal except for TRUST and those devices were really thin, like a worn die or a struck through grease. Just wondering if that might be the culprit?
There is nothing going on with TRUST other than the plating that has led to zinc rot... I caught that part... The die 006 on Wexlers for some reason has just thrown me for a loop

Would you like me to send you the one I think is the 006 to study?
