I don’t know how to attribute this One. I don’t see anything like it. Because of this anonymous sender, is The reason that I was able to study the shield cents and learn how to see the doubling in them. Thank you very much anonymous sender! There are a few more coins as well. I may get around to posting them. But, I wanted to post the most prominent one. It is absolutely beautiful! Looks like you have a Wexler 2014 WDDO-003! Very nice DD Sheila! The die crack on the left side of the Shield looks to match, so does the die crack connecting the lower C and E of CENT. However... I am not seeing the die chip in the 4 on yours and I'm not seeing the die crack connecting the EN of CENT. I have been waiting to see one of these show up without the die chip in the 4... but yours doesn't have it... right? I can't see it... appears to not be there.Comment

Yes, The picture is deceiving. I couldn’t get it at the right angle. And I missed it while I was taking pictures.Comment

At first I was thinking, "There HAS to at least a few out there...." Then I started thinking about the possibility that the post could have broken off during the hubbing and I think that may be a possibility. The part of the definition of class 9 that there was a "shift" during the hubbing could explain why the post broke off. Lateral movement of the hub could have broken it off. Bob, would you agree that this is a possibility or am I missing the boat here?Last edited by willbrooks; 05-31-2019, 05:40 PM.All opinions expressed are not necessarily shared by willbrooks or his affiliates.
