I just bought a micro to be able to inspect mint ,arks as close as possible, great job on the pictures too!!!
      Ruben,
I will try to help you a little bit with your terminology. You seem to be combining terms for completely different things and it makes it impossible to know what you are asking or referring to at times. You seem to understand that there is a difference between a "doubled die" (note the term is 'doubled,' not 'double') and machine doubling. Machine doubling is NOT a "machine doubled die," rather merely an effect that happens during the strike. Machine doubling is generally denoted MD, not MDD. This can be confusing as people often use MDD to mean Master Die Doubling, which is another type of worthless doubling, but completely different than machine doubling. There are many good explanations on the various forms of doubling, and how to tell the difference, if you do an online search or buy a reference book. Best wishes.

Please no more questions in this thread unless it deals directly with the DDO shown.

This might be stupid Jason but on you first pictures of the MM. I see lines on top of the S that don't go with the south second S.( look at the center of the main S) Looks to me like another part of a MM, going more north. Could there be more to the MM that is not being seen.? Or am I just looking to hard.

I think that would be it. The first example is MDS and the newer example at the bottom is EDS and clearer.
