I wonder if people had these questions around 1963/64 when they saw their coins change way from 90% silver? I am taking the copper cents out as well. It might pay off and it might not, but it can't hurt and it is fun to always be on the lookout for something. Everytime I go to a store and see all the cents sitting there in the 'take one' 'put one' cup...I just want to take them all!Comment

I believe so. The nay sayers only real comment lies in the difference between a precious metal and a base metal. Yet base metals have more practical use based on realistic affordability.I wonder if people had these questions around 1963/64 when they saw their coins change way from 90% silver? The concept of legality I feel is a silly argument against holding copper pennies. After all, making it illegal to melt proves the valueis there for holding onto and reinforces gresham's law.Comment
