I few years back I sent Brad 3 1939 DDOs he wanted to buy. It was half way there and no one ever saw it again. They never found it to this day. My wife works for USPS and delivery's the mail. About a month ago or so she deliveryed a letter that was mailed over 10 years ago. Talk about snail mail . Can you imagine getting a letter that was mailed ten years ago.

Considering the amount of mail processed each and every day, the amount lost/damaged is minuscule. Of course, if it is yours, that doesn't matter much.

Well look what came in the mail today! The lost brick of cents was located at the Atlanta Mail Recovery Center and after a brief phone call it was determined that it was in fact my stuff.

A lesson moving forward, ALWAYS put a return name and address on the internal contents of a package. They would have come straight back to me over a month ago if I had done that (sticky note and scotch tape would have done the trick).

Anyway, score one for persistence and thank you to the Post Office for not only finding my brick, but for returning it as well. I'm not going to chase the postage fees. I'm happy just to have the coins.

Absolutely wonderful news. I am happy that being nice, but persistent worked in this case. Congrats.
