It's using a randomizer - not using the same set of numbers for each pick - random pick and winner each game played.

Nobody has won yet, because the simulator hasn't hit the jackpot. It has hit four whites and the powerball twice, though.

Quite interesting. Cool contest Chuck. My randomly picked number from my random brain cells, what few are left, is 177,737,000.

Can you give us an update as to how many have run so far?

No, I cannot - because guessing is still open. No updates until it's done thinking.

I do find it interesting that my simulator is still buying two tickets per week well into an era where many scientists believe the Earth will no longer exist.

It's still running, by the way. It has now won all the different prize combinations except the big jackpot.

Well, the simulator finally stopped. It only took 190,301 years to win!

Total number of tickets to win was 19,791,371. So in searching through the thread for the closest guess, looks like our winner is:

                          grnwavdav

with his closest guess of 23,827,200!

Send me a PM with your address, and we'll get you hooked up with a half dozen or so decent RPMs.

Boys and girls...the moral to the story here is...find something better to do with your money, unless you have 200,000 years to wait for a losing payoff! Even the stock market - for how much it has sucked recently - is a better bet by far. Keep your pennies - they are worth more than Powerball tickets. The math on that is WAY in your favor!

Hah, I play the lottery ever now and then. I don't really believe I am going to win off that $2 but I'm more than willing to spend that to have a chance at it. I waste more than that on stuff I don't need or use before it goes bad.
