Does anyone else think that this looks doubled? To me it does. It seems to have a lot of wear to it as well.

Nickels are inherently difficult because of the way they wear. Have you got any 5c doubled dies? I find that notching is pretty noticeable until it gets to MLDS. It seems that extra thickness very seldom means a doubled die.Bob Piazza

No, I do not have any nickels that are doubled. I seem to be stuck on what the for sure markings are. I do know that notching is one sure way to tell. I guess I really need to study these more to figure out what I am supposed to be looking for. But you are right. They are most certainly not like the cents.Comment

I agree with Bob, nickels are a pain and this is die wear. Look for notching.
