Die crack on obverse of coin. A lot of toned areas. The mid areas of the coin is shiny and bright. The Reverse of the coin there are some other (??) unknown markings that I can't put my finger on it is exactly. Almost full steps I think... Picked it up from a coin store for $4. Sorry I'm getting use to my new camera.

Definitely a die crack on the obverse. The colors of the coin are indicative of some toning of the silver and normal circulation wear from years ago. It's in real good shape for a war nickel.Bob Piazza

Yes looked into the DD eye - none found
the 3/2 - kind of tough due to toning - I’m leaning more towards might not have it
DDO -the star led me to believe there was DD and TY in liberty but
im strengthening these eyes and you all are helping me do this — which is cool
The 43P is one with a couple of errors too to keep an eye out for.

Did you all by chance see my other 43-p post? It’s magnetic not as nice as this one ... in general discussionsComment

I did but don't know how to answer. The coin is 56% copper, 35% silver and 9% manganese. Copper has very little attraction to a magnet and silver and manganese or not at all. I don't know if the copper would be magnetic enough to do that.Comment

Nice coin !
Could you get a better pic of the area of the crack. It looks more like a lamination issue.
JohnSo sad ... My reverse consumption engine was a broken fuel gauge ... gonna look at coins now. JohnComment
