    Warmans vs Whitmans

What's the consensus on "Warman's" coins albums?

When I first decided to start up a wheat set, I jumped on the old 'net via Amazon and ordered one 1909-1958, "Warman's" penny album. From the beginning, this album has been a subject of question for me. After I got it in the mail and opened it up, I was pleased at first by the nice shine and wide layout. But it took only a quick glance to realize something wasn't right. The manufacturer had erroneously placed a duplicate of page two where the three should go. In the moment, I was ready to start get things going. I printed out a page 3, cut out some labels, and went to work.
And what work it was, the holes seemed sized more for dimes than pennies. My thumbs were killing me before I made it to the twenties,(and that wasn't long, if you know what I'm saying).
My first collection, the "Master Collection", housed in this?
Maybe it was just a Lemon?
Speaking of, is this thing even Acid free, that laminate does look like plastic.

I like the layout, but it is safe to keep my coins in? Does anyone use these things?
I have since started some Whitmans folders but have yet to commit to the move.

I've never heard of Warman. Go with Dansco, they cost a little more but the price is very well worth it. You won't want to put your coins in anything else again.

Yea, I'm thinking it would definitely worth the added investment to go with the Dansco. Man, looking at them now, those are some really nice albums! Now the question is, with proof or no proof?

IMHO no proofs. Keep those in flips. The proofs can haze easily, even in an album...

Even better, use Airtites, 2x2's and binder pages so you're not locked into collecting what some album makers tells you to collect. Plus, the Airtite system offers FAR SUPERIOR protection.
