What's the consensus on "Warman's" coins albums?
When I first decided to start up a wheat set, I jumped on the old 'net via Amazon and ordered one 1909-1958, "Warman's" penny album. From the beginning, this album has been a subject of question for me. After I got it in the mail and opened it up, I was pleased at first by the nice shine and wide layout. But it took only a quick glance to realize something wasn't right. The manufacturer had erroneously placed a duplicate of page two where the three should go. In the moment, I was ready to start get things going. I printed out a page 3, cut out some labels, and went to work.
And what work it was, the holes seemed sized more for dimes than pennies. My thumbs were killing me before I made it to the twenties,(and that wasn't long
, if you know what I'm saying).
My first collection, the "Master Collection", housed in this?
Maybe it was just a Lemon?
Speaking of, is this thing even Acid free, that laminate does look like plastic.
I like the layout, but it is safe to keep my coins in? Does anyone use these things?
I have since started some Whitmans folders but have yet to commit to the move.
