Come on "right words/terminology" while I try not to show how unlearned I am I only have to make a post to bring it to the open.

While correct terminology is certainly important in attributions or on slabbed coin labels. It can be not very educational to a NOVICE such as I when some may try explain and error or how it was created. Having been here a year now. I have had some short and sharp post directed towards me. "I don't care, they serve to educate me." I AM NOT THIN SKINNED. Some will attempt to correct you if only you grammar or spelling.

This is a great forum! With now friends and many members with same interest. Which helps to bind us togehter for a common cause.
One to teach Rollem, how to see the phony things listed on ebay and other places I might visit, and not be a sucker to any badly attributed Lincoln cent.

Thanks to you all in just a little under a year i finally think I am getting somewhere.

James thank you, I support 100% assertiveness with facts.
I have said this before too... if people didn't correct me or others we would never learn. The minute someone says they know everything or can't say thank you when someone is helping they are only doing themselves injustice. My point was so things don't get out of hand with fighting in a thread with insult that are personal, thin skinned or not. We can ask people to toughen up all day, but we can't change the way people are. I am very hard to offend, and if I was offended I wouldn't assume the worst of someone, but that is just me. Not to mention it really ruins the value of thread.

So to reiterate I am pro corrections that is how we learn and grow.
I wanted to add that this is not directed at anyone in particular

Roger, did I say something to offend somebody here?

        I hope not! I didn't mean to if I did. I apologize.

OK OK. Negativity. I get it.

So in other words, everyone shut up and play nice or don't play at all.

Don't centre people out and don't intimidate others with arrogance. One man's junk may be another man's treasure.

If you can't get along with each other then resolve it on your time and not out in public.

If you think before you speak you might actually sound intelligent (oh wait! that was meant for me! lol)

Be respectful of every persons vulnerability, ethnicity and social/political and religious views.

Don't be narrow minded, be open-minded.

Try to see the value in what other people may cherish.

            Don't name call.

He who is found without sin may throw the first stone. ( or for those that do not believe in a superior omnipotent being/entity ~ if you are deemed perfect by the society you live in then you can be the first to throw a dig in at somebody)

            etc. etc. etc.

            I get it now.

            Thanks Roger.

I've really had enough- I'm going to concentrate on some guys locally for a while- people who want to learn and not confuse. Guys whose feelings don't get hurt over a LINCOLN CENT.

One person takes something wrong and then there are pages more of people reassuring that person and debating what was correct- this is rediculous and exactly why many of us have left other forums. We're here to talk about the Lincoln Cent and Cent Die Varieties. Instead, it seems that more than half the posts recently have no redeeming value whatsoever. Why do I read through all of them? Why do you?

I mean it guys- there's more rediculous things taken so personally here, it causes me stress because I spend 90% of my time clarifying what shoud be simple. No hard feelings- this is about coins, die varieties and the minting process. Not anyone or anybody else.

I'll check in and see how things are going around here after the weekend.

This thread is now closed. It has been beaten to death. I suggest we concentrate on coins now.
