As a novice, could YOU expect to have the confidence to go through a bag of wheats and pull out all of the major doubled dies and Top 100 RPMs?
Or would you focus on something that is OBVIOUSLY abnormal. Something that stands out as different (after all, that's what we ALL look for).
I think that die chips, and other more common die errors are an amazing "gateway" error type. They lead people on a quest that brings them to places like this, like Coppercoins and Error-ref.com....
I'll probably speak harshly the next time a novice asks a perfectly uneducated question and is hit with "WE CALL THEM CENTS, NOT PENNIES". But I've promised to hold my tongue and will more likely just shut the laptop in disgust.
