A series countdown of varieties , errors and toners . All Welcome !

This is an idea from elsewhere.
Lets all contribute to a countdown from 2017 to 1909 , year to year with all business strike mints included ( proofs are a bonus but not required to progress backwards ) , of our varieties and errors or toners. Let's try to not jump around too much and miss a date or mint on our way back in time, but multiple examples from the same year/mint will be fun to see.
I hope all will feel welcome to participate and have fun !

    John

Cool idea John (even though it looks like you have been straying .. that's okay as long as you keep coming back home to us !!

Okay so... how do you think we can get this started? Like.. start with 2017, let everyone have a chance to talk about and/or post photos of their 2017's first... then move to 2016?

        That sounds about right.
If someone has something from a year or two that has already been passed and didn't get a chance to show , it will be cool to post , we can just keep up with the dates/mints that were missed .
This just gives everyone a chance to have fun and show what they have and not just their most recent find .

Okay thank you John, we will try to keep it in some kind of order, but I agree, it will be fun to see member's finds! And of course... right out of the 2017 chute is Cliff's 2017P DDO Discovery! WTG Cliff!

I don't have the cool discovery coin like Cliff, (by the way Cliff, many congrats again!!) but I have had a 2017 P following me around in a really big way!! Here is the 2017 P WDDO-005. I think I have found 12 so far.
Die varieties such as doubled dies, Repunched mint marks (RPMs), Over Mint Marks (OMMs), Repunched Dates, Overdates, coin design varieties, as well as regular coins and error coins.

Congrats Jon for finding so many 2017 P WDDO-005's! I bet you find some more of them!

I can't help but think there are still some more 2017P's out there to be found! You may be the next person to find one!

So far... just a 2017P spike head cent, trail die and minor obverse die clash for me. But I'm not giving up on 2017 yet!

Jon... then there was your 2017P WDDO-006 find that turned out being 2017P WDDO-002. And Jim's findings of another one you sent him that he decided was an earlier die state of 2017P WDDO 003

                  Here http://www.lincolncentforum.com/foru...highlight=2017

which lead to this (where you found many delisted DD's on Wexler's website had discovered two different doubled working hubs)

                  Here http://www.lincolncentforum.com/foru...highlight=2017

and you gave us the head's up

(Thank you for your keen detective work Jon and Jim!)

                    Here's the link to Jon's 2017P WDDO 003

This is a 2017 P I had not found yet. Nice little spread on ERTY and great markers for a stage "B". Thanks for looking, Jon.

Jon, hope you don't mind me doing this for you! I'm still digging through to see if there are some you found that I have missed...

Thank you Jon... I was still looking and didn't see any more. Awww sweet thing to say Jon... but I hope you do and I think you will! You seem to have more 2017P doubled dies in your area (based on all of these that you have found already) My bet is on YOU!

Just found an interesting 2017P die crack. It looks like the die crack hit the zero and caused a wave looking splash of metal release at the top right of the zero.

Maybe we will find a few 2017 BIE's!

Viv , you should pm coulsonmd , he is compiling a list of dates that have cracks from the rim into the date and I'm sure would want to know about your coin . Very cool indeed !
