I've actually got a cool situation. The Wife works in what they call the "vault" at a big box store. She just trades out the coins as I go through them. I always put my initials on each roll to easily identify any I might have already searched. No tellers to deal with...
That's a perfect situation you have there! Funny you say you put your initials on the rolls. I've gone thru maybe a dozen boxes of half's over the past year or so. When I'm done with each roll, I hold the roll on my hand (without the wrapper) and use a permanent marker and draw several lines thru the reeded edges. It's a nice easy way to see if those coin ever make their way back to me.
Thank you Tom! I have a need a penny take a penny jar of rejects so when I unroll a roll, if I find something I add one and roll the rest back up. Don't have to count that way
