1968-S Lincoln FULL and COMPLETE STEPS

As I was sorting through a roll of 1968-S Lincoln's, I remember seeing a thread about the rarity of "Full and Complete Steps" on the 1968-S Lincoln Memorial Cent.

I was wondering how full and complete the steps had to be to be "99% rare", as I examined the attached example that was in the roll.

Here is the obverse side of the same cent.

The designation of FULL STEPS has not caught on for Lincolns yet. There are some that do try to collect FULL STEPS LINCOLNs
but that number of people are currently very small.
If I had 2 MS 68 cents and 1 showed all the steps and one did not, And they were the same price... Full Steps all the way......
but I would not pay extra as right now there is not a strong market for them

As onecent1909 says, no premium is attached to the full steppers. That may change in the future, but as of today no third party grading company will attribute this characteristic on any of their slabs.
Pretty strange considering we have full steps on Jeff's, full heads on Standing Liberty Quarters, full bands on merc, and full torch on rookies.
Guess it's just a matter of time...

So getting a FMS sticker on an NGC slab is different than NGC actually attributing it and putting it in the description?

MAC ( Modern Approved Coins) giving a FMS ( Full Memorial Steps ) sticker is just another party putting a sticker on the outside of an already slabbed coin.
CAC stickers will add a value to a slabbed coin as they are a respected third party...
MAC I just do not know enough about them to make a statement.
But they say they pick up where CAC leaves off, CAC does not do moderns
I took a screenshot of the "MAC Price Guide"
there are 3 1968S FSM MAC coins in MS 66
( which is like the coin from EBAY that Maineman750 (Roger) linked to ): Price $1050.00
The linked coin owner wants $44.09 reduced 30% from $62.99

Currently NGC does not have anything for the Full Step of Lincoln Cents. so Yes it is different.
I can put a sticker on a slabbed coin, does not mean NGC agrees with that statement.

Thanks for clearing that up for me Onecent1909. It's nice to know this information when buying slabbed coins. Especially for newbs like me.

I see a typical weak spot in your steps and would not consider it to be full steps. To meet the designation, in my eyes, all of the steps have to be fully formed. Some issues get a little weak but the steps are all there. Here's my 1968S that I consider FS for comparision. Note that each row goes complete across the design. IMO, this could would grade MS-67 with any of the TPGs:

Check out this 67 on ha.com, zoom in on the steps, that area is the first to show weakness. None of the 67's shown on PCGS's website have full steps either.
